Q: How does the bed lift so easily?
A: Counter-balanced, spring loaded mechanisms that have been specifically designed for your Murphy Bed make this feather lift action possible.
Q: How difficult is the bed frame to assemble?
A: On a scale of 1-10 the DOOR BED mechanism is close to a "4" and the PANEL BED mechanism a "7".
Q: How long would you say it would possibly take a "first timer" to assemble the DOOR BED steel frame?
A: Probably 2 hours, tops.
Q: I assemble the PANEL BED FRAME only with cabinets, right?
A: Yes, the cabinetry is neccesary to assemble the PANEL BED mechansim.
Q: I just love my Murphy Bed and want to take it wherever I move, can I take my bed with me?
A: Of course, you can certainly move your bed! Just be careful.
Q: Can I use a mattress that I already have?
A: As long as it fits in the space you have designed for your Murphy Bed Mechanism. Your guest will love you.
Q: Do you offer any warranties?
A: Yes we do, a lifetime warranty on the mechanisms.
Q: What is the difference between the Panel Bed and the Door Bed Mechanisms?
A: The Panel Bed mechanism is made to
attach the door (panel) unit directly to the face of it (now
you see it now you don’t) and the Murphy Door Bed mechanism is used when the doors fold or slide out of the way (hidden behind doors).
Q: What is the mattress support? Do I still need a box spring?
A: The purpose of the mattress support is to do just that, "support your mattress", when you choose the Door Bed style. No box springs, please!
Q: Can I use PLYWOOD instead of buying a mattress support for the Door Bed?
A: Yes, you can choose to have plywood cut, [½ inch shorter all the way around then your mattress], then it’s attached to your mechanism instead of a purchased mattress support, saving YOU some money.
